this isn't a dream i had, but my friend told me about a really good one he had a while back
he had this dream that he met, fell in love with, and then had an affair with a girl. well, towards the end of the dream, he found her crying. when he asked her why she was crying, she said "because you're real and i'm not, so i won't be able to see you when you wake up." i probably forgot the majority of what happened in the dream, but i don't think anything i've dreamed has ever come close to even that basic concept
Wow, that's pretty deep/meta for a dream.
Agreed.
Did the friend realize he was dreaming and the girl's response made sense or wasn't it until he woke that he realized she had said that in a dream. That would be my question.
Who would win in a fight?

Give me an afghany any day.
No health care and many live in huts with a temp varying from freezing to blazing.
Canadians... hmph.

Part of it is psychological.
Bass has been shown to increase confidence and inhibit insecurity.
Maybe it sings to the frontal cortex.

I needed to take a few for my teaching credential in CA.
I guess it is fine... you get out of it what you take out of it.
I saw a number of students work that passed and was pretty bad.
We're back to normal now

we went on a vacation to myrtle beach when i was maybe 7, which i think is in south carolina. the second to last day, hurricane weather started to come in, and what did we do? get the beep out of there, that's what
i've heard people have hurricane parties when they know a hurricane is coming, which has always baffled me. why get blotto, looped, trashed, and blasted when you know there's an ungodly powerful force of nature coming through that'd probably like to rip you a new one?
It is the same reason folks drink and drive, stay out late partying when they have work the next day, or have unprotected sex. So many people believe consequences are for others and not for them.
I can understand planning a vacation playing the odds that a big storm isn't likely. However, if that storm comes the correct response is the same as FB3K's family's which was, get the hell out of dodge.

I am a teacher so I do stock up a bit from about January on with books I hope to read over the summer.
This year the reading is thick, not fun, but giving me motivation to go back and work with kids.
Read:
Lost in Las Vegas (not very good...but mindless) by Avery Cardoza
Reading:
The Divide by Matt Taibbi
Whatever it Takes by Paul Tough
Kentucky Ham by William Boroughs Jr (Beside book)
Discipline by B. Brazelton
Hunter by E. Jean Carol (bathroom reading!)
To Read:
Mindset by Carol Dweck (Need to restart)
How Children Succeed by Paul Tough (Need to restart)
Ham by William Boroughs Jr.
Instant Influence by Michael Pantalon
Touchpoints Birth to Three by B. Brazelton
Allow me to vent about Star Trek Into the Darkness

It was fine I guess. Not my thing but okay none-the-less.
Two things I found most irritating.
1. When bargaining w/ Khan for the safety of his crew (at this point Capt.) Spock reminds Khan that if he destroys the Enterprise then Khan's crew would be destroyed. Khan says he would disable the Enterprises' life support system and retrieve the crew after everyone had suffocated, as Khan's crew didn't rely on oxygen.
At this point Spock could have said and reasoned that instead of suffocation he would detonate all missile in the Enterprise to assure a quick death for the SS crew and use the destruction of Khan's as a bargaining chip.
I am not sure if that is in Spock's morality though. Or h could have also said that he would then replace Khan's crew and cryogenically freeze the Enterprise crew (at that point a much smaller crew than when they began their voyage.
If you hold a bargaining chip then use it.
Next, why did they assume they needed Khan's blood when they had 72 other super-Khan-like weirdos to take blood from?
Come on son.
Why these things occurred to me.... no idea.

Man, I wished the Heat learn to adapt to harsh conditions after seeing that one match where Lebron got injured with a leg cramp. Dunno why "#LeBroning" is a hilarious thing.
In my opinion the Heat are an example of a decent coach looking very good-to-great because of talent.
However, Spro isn't a great coach and his moves, like sitting Chalmers (not that he is a world beater but that move in game five was awful and it showed early on) were curious.
Also, Pops took the same approach with the Heat that they did with the Blazers.... begin the series...the first minutes of the series.... like a buzz-saw and see how resilient your opponent is.
Blazers had no idea how to react and the Heat weren't used to the situation. It did seem like there were a lot of peripheral Heat players waiting for Bron to do something while the peripheral Spurs showed their ability.
Better team won.
