So this is my WIP entry to the mfgg minigame competition. Quoted from there:

This was quite a challenge for me, given that I don't listen to hiphop at all. I also decided to try something new and I made all of my percussion samples from scratch (started with a straight 440Hz wave and modified it until I got the right sound).

My intention was to make something that sounds like it could easily be rapper over, given the theme. While I quite like both the other entries, to my ears, they didn't sound like something that would work as well with a rapper.

I would really appreciate any crits that you may have. Especially about the the bassline (or anything, really) because I'm not sure it sounds super hiphop-y, and I think it may take away from the rest of the song.

So apparently we're allowed to post pictures here. I thought I would share some of mine.

This one was from a wedding I shot over the summer. The guy was a fireman, so we took them back to the firehall to take some sultry shots.

A friend of mine needed this for some advertisement.

This is a shot of Canadian speed-skater Cindy Klassen.

This photo of two swallows was the first thing I ever got published in a magazine.

Nothing really to say about this one. I didn't edit the colours though. The setting sun was just very strong that day.

This was taken some time last year in the rockies.

Winter song

Hey everyone. I apparently pretty much forgot that I made an account here (then again, I forgot about mfgg as well).

Anyways, I recently made a song for a music competition on mfgg. I figured I could make it a topic here in an attempt to get some critique. I'm honestly not totally sure what I was doing, as it was my first actual song. I would really appreciate some tips on how to make it better! The theme is winter/christmas.
