(Explanation: For April Fool's Day 2015, Nite Shadow and I pretended to be eachother. As Nite, I pretended to post about a "mod" I was creating. Once April Fools was over, I "damaged the disguise matrix" and created these lovely abominations. Of course, Nite being Nite, he started brainstorming ways to make this a real thing. He eventually did in the form of a modded SupaBoy and a Genesis to SNES adapter.)
I decided to try and create a portable Sega Genesis mod.
Parts:
-1 Sega Genesis (Model 1)
-1 Game Boy Advance SP
-Some advanced adhesive
If it works, I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
Only a matter of time, folks. This IS happening.

Friendly Dictator So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children? wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children Bibby OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words. |

Good news, after working on it all day, I'm happy to report that the mod was successful.
I wasn't sure if I was going to pull it off at first, but everything seemed to work out. ![]() A little bulky, but still very portable.

Well, that is definitely a portable Genesis! A model one, even. Not sure I'd be comfortable with mine suddenly supporting GBA games, though. That's a pretty major modification.
(I see a Doom there. You have a 32X?) |

wait, you modded in a 32x as well? incredible!
how many dozen batteries does it consume per hour with both the 32x and genesis hooked up? (seriously though making a portable genesis is something you should try because i'd buy one dfhfdffdf) --- Edited by: fireball3k, Apr 1st, 2015 @ 12:42 pm

The GBA cart is actually essential as the copy of Cubic Ninja is required to softmod the GBA. fireball3k wait, you modded in a 32x as well? incredible!how many dozen batteries does it consume per hour with both the 32x and genesis hooked up? (seriously though making a portable genesis is something you should try because i'd buy one dfhfdffdf) So far, playing with 32x only allows for 32 seconds of battery life. --- Edited by: DustinVG, Apr 1st, 2015 @ 1:55 pm

So, after putting this thing through a stress test, I've found out that it plays all games in 1080p 60fps.
However, there's a minor flaw. ![]() Playing for too long seems to convert whatever game you're playing into a SNES copy of Shaq-Fu.
