As it turned out, the screen simply works on an AV input, which is jumped off of the motherboard. I simply popped that wire off, and patched it to the AV output jack on a Retrogen adapter.
This mod is technically reversible, though as-is, SNES capability is crippled (Because I took the video signal away from the board. a simple switch and jack mod will fix this.
Sadly, Non-use has taken it's toll on my Everdrive-MD, and has resulted in a total bricking of the cartridge, (Simply meaning that I won't be running a rom hack) so instead, an official copy of Sonic the Hedgehog is being used.

So, where this really isn't as much of a Portable Sega Genesis mod, as it is an AV input mod, it IS a rather interesting finding in what is a rather well done variant of the Super Nintendo.
