Eternal mall

I'm not from Jacksonville, but Vinny's been one of my best friends for about 13-15 years, so I heard about how Regency Square is going to close. I wish malls would make a comeback, and they well could even in the days of online shopping. In the meantime, a VHS-esque clip of some malls with vaporwave music ought to scratch this itch for me
Seriously, malls should make a comeback. No, they're not as convenient as online shopping, but you could make a whole attraction out of a mall with food and shops and video games and all the other s*** they had back in the day.

Two songs of the same name from around the same time period, but by very different bands
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOTAQ1FYRX0 The first is Crutch by Pinback.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPiUyXS2lYc Crutch by Matchbox Twenty.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRjA26KY05Y "Boy, Boy, Boy" by Underworld, off their 2007 album Oblivion With Bells. I'm starting to think Underworld is my favorite band.

You're not wrong. Some of the things I've seen (or, unfortunately, bought) have looked like they had fleas.
That being said, you still find plenty of stuff in top condition, or just good enough condition. You often get a small discount compared to buying it on eBay.
For me, part of the appeal is just looking at the stuff they sell. Just seeing a Super Nintendo or N64 behind the cage makes me feel warm and fuzzy, even if I don't buy them
Computer Alcohol Hypnosis Program... and other QBASIC fun

I already told Vinny about this on Discord a few weeks ago, but when I plugged the QBASIC programs shown here into a DOS 5 VM running QBASIC 1.0, they worked without crashes. I generally had to re-run the program each time after picking an option to avoid a crash, but it works well enough for me.
So, if anyone's looking to run these, hopefully that will help. I use PCem for my retro DOS emulation needs, but I'm sure any other VM software would also suffice if you're like me and you don't have a DOS 5 PC handy

Anyone here visit flea markets? I like to go to them after work sometimes, and I even buy stuff from them.
Where else am I going to get OG Xbox games, CDs, and other physical media in 2025?

It helps that they used Jessica as the theme song for the show Top Gear, I'd say. Guitar Hero II is almost 20 years old now, but that game also featured the song. That's how I even know it lolol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIvzTlAdcUE Sin, from Nine Inch Nails' first album Pretty Hate Machine. When I was younger, I thought it was strange that Nine Inch Nails' frontman was named Trent Reznor, just like the fortress bosses from Super Mario World... come to find out they were named after him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1e6wnYHKQE Shake that Thing, from a live album by the British bluesman Long John Baldry. I bought this album at the flea market because I recognized Baldry's name. He was the voice of Dr. Robotnik in one of the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons. Though he passed away just about 20 years ago, Baldry's still my favorite Robotnik voice actor. Have a listen to him giving himself a prrrrrromotion:

I'm gonna bump this just-about-six-year-old topic to say that I checked to see if the site is still up. This app no longer works, but the reason why is because AI chatbots have gotten a corner on this market. Fair enough, I say. I use chatbots all the time and they're quite convincing now
All that being said, I wish this site were still around because this seems like a lot of fun.
