It's not there to make you miserable, it's there to keep you informed and in some cases prevent damage from occurring. Mine there told me mostly what happened; as you can see, the graphics device (or at least the driver in charge of it) dun goofed. It's not always that specific, though, for sometimes it will either leave a weird message at the top or in the worst possible case nothing but a stop error ID. Both are useful if you're able to look them up in a sea full of irrelevant sites.
Remember that it's there for you. It cares about you. It would without a doubt jump in front of a virtual train for you.
