Well, I had this idea planned for a long while, The Minus World seems to finally triggered it off. I want to host my own Level Design Competition on MFGG. Although I have yet to post my level design comp, I have it planned out (Theme is a custom SMB3 level, deadline is three weeks from when my planned comp started, prizes will be handed to the victor, etc.)
All im asking, you think its a good idea for me to execute this idea?

Could be fun, but I wouldn't do it at the same time as another similar competition.
Course clear! You got a card.

Well, I got Pedigree and CopperMario actually wanting me to make the topic, but since this forum has its share of MFGGers, I still want to know what the rest of you think before I get the all-clear to make it on Friday this week.

This might be a good idea, especially for those who aren't good at programing with whatever program they have, or are still learning how to make fangames,
Level layouts being a rather large part of game creation. If the theme ever lands on a 3 Dimentional theme, one might make sure that an Isometric is able to be used, since 3d isn't exactly an easy setup to be used. --- Edited by: The_Shadow, Dec 12th, 2012 @ 10:24 am |

Well then, what date you guys suggest that MFGG's level design competition should take place?

I think rewarding money for things as these is just nonsense...
Besides, the reason why MW split up from MFGG was because MFGG was to focussed on creating stuff, right? And now MW is going to focus more on... creating stuff... ...wut?

MW finally realized that it's hard to attract new members and keep existing ones interested unless they did some creative things themselves.
As for dates, I'd be inclined to wait until the other competition has concluded.
