While perusing old papers this week, I stumbled across several printouts chronicling my old Oregon Trail adventures and misadventures. It's still a fun game, whether you're playing the classic version (YOU HAVE DIED OF CHOLERA) or the newer sequels, which gain greater complexity at the expense of some of the cheesy charm of the original. I wonder how many of you have played any of these.

And yes, the strategy guide I wrote for the most recent version has earned more hits than all of the games I've ever made combined.

Luckily, I actually had the chance to play this in fourth grade, as our rather eccentric math teacher had his classroom lined with old computers. He also had a really fun macabre-themed text-based adventure game.

Fun fact: Oregon Trail is actually the longest running video game franchise in existance. Not even kidding!
