A rage comic I found a while ago.
But yet, some MFGGers have bad experience over there.

I have massive issues with TSR's forums. I am a very peaceful and patient guy, but even mentioning those wretched forums makes my blood burn in my veins. Those people are worse than individuals who hate mlp fim without giving it a chance (because I know what it's like dealing with those people and the smart-alecs from TSR's forums). My patience with them is forever on thin ice, so don't get me started.

TSR is a more "professional" - and more negative - community than MFGG, MW, or this forum. They take things much more seriously than any of those places (not to mention TSR's internal strife, which one former admin says surpassed MFGG's problems at its most dramatic point). Feedback and comments on the MFGG forums (in the post-Mrs. Aforcer era, at least) are usually relatively gentle and constructive in nature. On the other hand, most of TSR's members place a greater emphasis on the graphics of a game, and the bar is set considerably higher if you want to please them. No matter where you go, your work will sometimes meet with criticism - sometimes even unpleasant, destructive criticism from people who haven't actually played your game - so don't let the detractors get you down.
Course clear! You got a card.

I was given more destructive criticism than constructive, and it left me with a burning hatred for those forums (and the few things I hate can be counted on just one hand). I've left and am never returning again. I'm pretty much just throwing everything they said to me over my shoulder and not practicing it because their demands and "constructive" criticism were just too stupid and out of the question (not to mention very demotivating and anger-inducing). I wish I had known about all their ridiculous standards before I joined their forums, cuz I wouldn't have this intense burn in my veins every time I hear about them. And I used to think it was impossible for me to get to such anger ![]()

Speaking about that, a lot of TSR staffs are misunderstanding and/or hypocrites. How did MKF forums got a domain from TSR even though people there are tired or Mario-ish games and they really dislike clashing graphics. And plus, there's only 2 or 3 are out of the whole Typical Mario Game are memes(Troll-cheep, Mine turtle with wtf boom.) Most of them are made up. And people start to throwing dumps at me just because of my support banner contains Gangnam Style (I'm not really into that but I want to get people attention).
And let me guess SMBMaster, Cobalt Blue is criticize (in some sort of spoiled rich people's way) same as mine is that right? |

Bibby the post-Mrs. Aforcer eraMaybe I wasn't paying much attention back then, but can you explain more what you mean by this? I think I already have an idea, though. The Spriter's Resource though, like stated above, isn't a very friendly community. They're not really big on fangames, but like Supernova said, I'm just as confused as to why they'd bash so many fangames yet still support Fusion. ![]() Buono... |
