Way back in 2008, when I was still a game-making greenhorn, I posted a fairly bad platformer about the 2008 election featuring levels based on political hot topics such as the war in Iraq, global warming, and the financial crisis. It was poorly executed and was generally disliked.

As I promised, here's a sequel to that aforementioned bad game, on which I procrastinated indefinitely and is now being released in an untested, incomplete state. In D-S 2012, you collect coins to try to keep the American healthcare system solvent for as long as possible, all while staring at highly cheesy handdrawn graphics. If people don't hate this minigame with flaming passion, I'll finish up two more levels and add a working playable character and an online high scores feature. Play it if you dare.

A new version is downloadable from the original post. I can't say it's the greatest piece of game-making ever, and the third minigame is incomplete, but it might be a unique experience that's worth playing.

One of my pandemic projects has been to update many of my older games, and the third minigame in D-S 2012 is now complete! Yay. I'm sure that every person on the planet was itching to play a really corny minigame about Mitt Romney's dog. This was my first experience making a (simple) procedurally-generated platformer level - a fun little exercise.

(Don't take this game too seriously - it's a goofy, experimental parody of the 2012 U.S. presidential election, after all.)

Also, be careful if you're susceptible to motion sickness.
