I recently went to a friend's house, and he showed me this thing by the name of Borderlands 2. He'd been talking about it over Xbox via chat and it sounded like a really fun game, so I was glad that I was going to get to see it. One of the trailers he showed me some time before had made it look really cool. What did I think?
WOW THIS LOOKS DREADFULLY BORING
I've never seen enemies take such ludicrous amounts of time to kill. It's like a merge between the slowest-paced RPG you've ever played and a randomized first person shooter. On the note of RPGs and similar things, I tried RuneScape a while back. Like other games of its nature that I've seen, there's not much more motivation to play other than leveling up and being able to do a little bit more stuff when you do. To me it felt more like a secondary job than a game.
Pokemon was okay to me back when the Gameboy Color was new; I was rockin' Blue version and playing the mess out of it. The thing was, I was only ever excited when I battled Gym Leaders and the Elite Four. After you've done pretty much everything, the only options you have are to start over, battle your friends, or mess around with glitches. That wasn't really all that fun to me, though.
Personally those kinds of games just don't seem to do it for me at this point in time. What about you?

yeah i probably wouldn't enjoy borderlands too much, don't see much reason to mix rpg elements with fps ones. seems like a pretty unfun mix to me.

I thought the art style in Borderlands 2 looked neat, although I doubt it would be my cup of tea either.
I generally dislike games that rely heavily on grinding - to me it's always seemed like a lame way to squeeze more challenge/play time into a game.
Course clear! You got a card.
