That NES finally showed up!

So, once i got through all the shredded paper,
NES looks almost like new, minor chip on one side of the console (oh well) Works Great!
Zapper: Not even any scratches! works great!
Power pad: box was destroyed, the pad itself, im not so sure this was ever really used,
Games: Well, Only one with a rental joint tag on it, otherwise, they are like new.
3rd Party Controller: Repaired
Console and zapper instruction manuals: MINT!

SMB2: Bit of sludge on the contacts, cleaned it before testing,
Worked great! :D

In short, im surprised at the turnout here,
only 1 non working component, nothing to be concerned about either.
I honestly thought I would have to dissable the lockout chip right out of the chutes,
nope, i got, more or less, a brand new console.

Awesome! It's amazing how well-made these old NES systems were, since so many of them work like new if you clean the contacts and avoid dropping or electrocuting them. I should break out the Power Pad and Zapper of my own sometime.
Course clear! You got a card.

So, here is the next thing for this thing, aside from a cleaning kit.

which one of the following is:
A. cheap enough i can afford 2 copies.
B. Sucky enough i actually WANT to dismantle and gut it (LITERALLY)

Gyromite
Stack-Up
Duck Hunt (Dont you dare give this for an answer)
Wrecking Crew
Clu Clu Land
Excitebike
DK Jr. Math
Wildgun Man
Hogan's Alley
Ice Climber
Baseball
Mach Rider
Super Mario Brothers (If you answer this, you will be shot on site)
Kung Fu
10 Yard Fight
Pinball
Golf

the only reason i ask, is that 5 screw variations on the NES cartridges (First run NES) contained a famicom adapter,
Which had the NES lockout chip installed. I would loose the game, but i would be able to play any famicom carts in the NES as a result.

I don't know if you remember AppleQueso, but he's really into this sort of thing, and I asked him his opinion:

AppleQueso
(2:33:03 PM) AppleQueso: his question: Gyromite is insanely common and everywhere and it's useless without ROB anyway
(2:33:34 PM) AppleQueso: Stack-Up and DK Jr. Math are both rather expensive for launch titles
(2:33:38 PM) AppleQueso: so i'd avoid those too
(2:33:47 PM) AppleQueso: if not Gyromite he can use uh
(2:34:01 PM) AppleQueso: 10 Yard Fight, Golf, Baseball,
(2:34:07 PM) AppleQueso: those are rather crummy games anyway
(2:34:43 PM) AppleQueso: lots of people have gone for the famicom adapter route
(2:34:53 PM) AppleQueso: i might actually have a cart with one of thsoe but i'd have to open them
(2:36:12 PM) AppleQueso: and he's right, NES, despite it's reputation for beign unreliable
(2:36:19 PM) AppleQueso: with a bit of TLC can usually just
(2:36:21 PM) AppleQueso: work good as new
(2:36:33 PM) AppleQueso: a nice cleaning of the cart slot and making sure the cart pins are clean as well goes a very long way
(2:37:06 PM) AppleQueso: i'd go in there and post that myself but it'd be strange to me to like
(2:37:15 PM) AppleQueso: register on a forum to make a single post
(2:38:27 PM) AppleQueso: also a tip for him when hunting for games with famicom adapters is that the ones with adapters inside will ALWAYS be 5 screw. versions
(2:38:27 PM) VinnyVideo: Yeah, I understand. I talk with Nite pretty often, so it would be easiest for me just to send him a copy of this log.
(2:39:29 PM) AppleQueso: gyromite and the sports games, 5 screw versions
(2:39:34 PM) AppleQueso: should be his general rule of thumb for the adapter
