The Navigator is a story I'm writing. It's going to be sort of a humorous adventure/fantasy story; influenced by things like the Discworld series.

The Premise:
Robert Taxivier is an ordinary accountant, and is going on a much-needed vacation.  The plane lands, and Rob calls a taxi to take him to his hotel.  However, the taxi driver is acting very strangely, almost as if he's possessed.  He drives Rob way out into the middle of nowhere, and kicks him out, then he drives away, leaving Rob stranded in the middle of nowhere.  Then, a mysterious ghostly man calling himself "The Navigator" appears and promises to take Rob to his Destination.  So Rob and the Navigator set off on a journey to the Destination.  However, there are things that try to stop them along the way, and Rob slowly learns the something BIG is happening, and it involves him.

What do you guys think of the premise? I've already got the prologue and chapter 1 done, I'll post them later once I finish editing them.
Never underestimate that I have punches!

Sounds promising indeed! It's always cool when original fiction shows up here - people used to do that fairly often during MFGG's IPB era.
Course clear! You got a card.

I have great expectations and await to see how your original story writing skills hold up! Although, while I do think that The Navigator is a really awesome title, there are certainly more than a handfull of movies and books and whatnot called something along the lines of The Navigator. Not saying you should change the title, just giving you the heads up.
