It was fantastic, and had really great music. Only about 3 acts were horrible, the rest ranged from good to stellar.

Queen (with some awful chick singing though, way to ruin it), Pet Shop Boys, The Who, random Beatles songs, Blur and (kind of) Oasis, Fatboy Slim... Really good stuff, you'd expect nothing less from a country with an exellent musical output.

As you may be able to tell, it was a lot more of a concert than a general presentation, there wasn't many dances and such that didn't have a band performing as the focus, but that is okay by me. It got a bit weak in bits like the fashion show with David Bowie (why he wasn't actually there singing is beyond me) and the aformentioned crap acts, but overall it was cool.

What did you think of it?

I thought it was a mixed bag. Some of it was really cool, while some segments have already been dispensed into my mind's dusty archive of little-remembered opening/closing ceremony moments. I did appreciate the appearance of a certain song about walruses, however!
Course clear! You got a card.
