This is still ongoing. NCAA made uterlateral sanctions aganist Penn State and their football program. What are your thoughts about it.

On Jerry Sandusky himself: Creepy, creepy guy who messed up a lot of people's lives and let down a lot of people who trusted him.
On Joe Paterno: I was surprised just how much a role he appeared to have in covering up and enabling Sandusky's crimes. If even a fraction of the allegations detailed in the report are true, it's going to leave a serious stain on JoePa's legacy, despite the pristine image of character and class he projected for so many decades. On the NCAA's sanctions on Penn State's athletic program: I'm certainly not suggesting PSU's program should get off Scot free, but some of the punishments don't fit the crime. A massive fine makes sense, but banning Penn State from the postseason only hurts the kids on the football team - not the people who had anything to do with the abuse. The moral of the story: Bad things happen if one person holds too much control over an organization. This goes for entities besides major college football programs!
