Let us discuss this master of the arts.

Who's this short, pretentious old East Asian guy, you may ask?

He was a Progressive Rock star who quit because it wasn't progressive enough for him.

He was an 80's New Wave icon who wrote about ridiculous things, screamed a lot, and had an amazing pink striped shirt.

He uses weird, but interesting instruments. (Not pictured: LASER HARP.)

He's cool.

He's got a bike. (You can ride it if you'd like, it's got a basket, and bells and rings and things to... I'll stop now. )

He attracts the ladies like a magnet. (Kind of.)

But most importantly, he is very talented at whatever he decides to do.

All of his songs are amazing to me, and they're all different and interesting to listen to. He has a lovely voice, great skill as a musician, and isn't afraid to step out and try something new. That's what makes him and his band P-Model my favorite things to listen to besides The Beatles.

Or I guess I'm just a nerd, hm?

I finally took the time to listen to some of that, just out of curiosity. Definitely an interesting artist, and very Japanese and quite... unique.

Although this makes me think of either YMCA or bad reaction images:

Yeah, it's kind of a weird picture.

Also, I got a DVD of one of Hirasawa-sama's shows for my birthday a while ago. It's so cool! Very nice to look at, haha, and the music is of course awesome.

I don't really want to gush about him too much... But he's great aaaaaa ^p^

Since the Bibby Team Forums aren't as active tonight, I decided to listen to that song you posted in the chatbox - all the way through. And yes, it is quite epic indeed, though my Southern redneck ears are still unsure how to interpret something as uniquely Japanese as what they just listened to.

It's not got much to do with being Japanese. He's just a strange person. Even Japanese people can't understand him.

But yes, his music is epic! It takes some getting used to, maybe. But it's fab.
