Nite_Shadow sspp03 In my state, its not illegal.legal or not, Texting while driving is still incredibly stupid, Surely you can agree with that aspect of this. yes? Why wouldn't I? However, I am NOT in favor of banning cell phone use from cars altogether, and in the shoutbox, I already explained my stance on the texting while driving thing. If you don't know my stance is on texting while driving, Im 100% against it.

If you don't know my stance is on texting while driving, Im 100% against it. im not so certain it will go THAT far. it will likely be directed toward the driver, while the vehicle is in motion, that's how it is in most places anyway. |

There's nothing wrong with dialing a cell phone or texting while in a parked car. What's dangerous is operating a cell phone while operating a moving vehicle.

I wonder, can you still be punished in certain states for texting in the driver's seat when the car isn't moving? Sometimes, the problem of laws is its vagueness and generality.

Sometimes, the problem of laws is its vagueness and generality. highly doubtful, if the vehicle is stopped, and off the road (to the side), their should be no problem. drivers seat or not. |
