Hello! Because I am very interested in this sort of thing, I have edited the Tumblr Accent Meme for general audiences, so that you Bibby Team members could do it, possibly. Tumblr-specific questions, as well as *SPELLING MISTAKES* were corrected.

How to do it? Grab your webcam or microphone, even the crappy Rock Band mic will do, and record yourself following the directions:

1.    What is your name/username? 2.    Where are you from? 3.    Pronounce the following words: Aunt, Roof, Route, Theatre, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Pajamas, Caught, Naturally, Aluminium, GIF, Florida, Crackerjack, Doorknob, Envelope, About, Polka Dots, Orange, Papaya, Penthouse, Subtext, Smile 4.    What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house? 5.    What is a bubbly carbonated drink called? 6.    What do you call your grandparents? 7.    What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket? 8.    What’s the bug that, when you touch it, curls into a ball? 9.    What do you say to address a group of people? 10.  What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs? 11.  Choose a book and read a passage from it. 12.  Be a wizard or a vampire? 13.  How old are you? 14.  Is it cold where you are? 15.  What is your favourite colour? 16.  What colour are your eyes? 17.  Do you have freckles? 18.  When is your birthday? 19.  What was the last thing you drank? 20.  Would you rather: Have a million dollars or a million friends? Eat a taco or a quesadilla? Be a shark or an elephant? 21.  Do you speak a second language? Say something in it. 22.  Do you think you have an accent? 23.  End the recording by saying any THREE words you want.

I will post my own fufillment of this meme after somebody else does, because I don't want to be the only one. Please and thank you!

(Copies prompt to Note.TXT.)

Sure - I'll do it in a bit. And the whole world will weep when they realize that I really do sound like either a Southern Luigi or a black British girl.

Heh heh, this is gonna be fun. I'll do this tonight. I have two questions first. One, is "Aluminium" supposed to be Aluminum or is it wrong on purpose? well that was explained - I prefer "Aluminium" myself. Two, the one about addressing a group, do you mean like what we call a group of people or what we say when we speak to a group to get their attention?

Oh and I'm gonna stay away from the spider question because I'd prefer not to think about those because whenever I do one shows up and those blasted things scare me to pieces.

Thank you!

Miles: "Aluminium" isn't spelled wrong. Mabe it is on your planet! It's a debated thing.

As for the second question, I'm guessing they're asking about the second-person plural! So, whether you say "y'all" or not, hahaha.

Mason sounds very "American." I'm interested in hearing how some other people will sound.

Also, "aluminum" is now pretty standard in the U.S. of A., whereas the slightly easier-to-pronounce "aluminium" is preferred in Britain. Here's an interesting read regarding this topic..

Sorry about the background noise and big filesize... and that thing at the end.

Heya Bibby, where's your say on things? Would you really let your Note.TXT carry such an unused weight?

As for the rest of us, there's other things that are probably pronounced differently from place to place, like forehead ("fahrid" vs "foor hed"). Maybe we can make a list and do this again at some point.

Well, here you go. I am an absolutely horrible speaker, and I had to cut off more nearly half of the original recording because it was too difficult to understand (although part of it was the fault of the microphone). Listen if you dare.

Also, all of you sound exactly the way I expected you would!
