Whelp, Finally decided to softmod my old DS.
just got the thing flashed this morning and was starting to put some homebrew on the SD card...
sure enough though... one of the SD contact pins inside the flashcart snapped off....
so....yeah.....
Im sure ill be able to manage something eventually. not like i dont have a massive pile of old computer parts all over in my room. just need the right part to replace, and some time.
-----edit------
Though, on the bright side,
at least the NDS itself still works, and i dont need to deal with that god d***ed health warning anymore since i softmodded.

That's unfortunate. Good luck fixing it.

LUCKED OUT!
the broken pin was NULL. Did NOTHING. what stopped it from working was a short circuit. ![]() |

Good. I've always thought it would be fun to do something like that, although I've always been afraid to - especially since I don't know much about how to do it.
Course clear! You got a card.

ah, its actually real simple to do.
you just short the SL1 contact near the battery when Flashme tells you to. mine took about 10 seconds. |
