Would anyone here be interested in participating in a drawing/art contest of some sort? It'll probably resemble those held on MFGG (previously) and some other sites, though don't let yourself be handcuffed to the formats used in other places. Tell me if you're interested or if you have any suggestions for themes. Winners might even get a badge or trophy added to their profile if I implement that feature.

I'm interested, as you would expect. However, I don't think we have enough members to make a successful competition. That's just me, though.

Yeah, I have that same concern too. I'd love to have one planned for the near future, though, especially since it's the kind of fun thing that could help bring in new people.

Yes, in the future.

But for now, I suggest advertising! :3c

I'll be right back and sponsor a NASCAR stock car and buy some product placement ads on this summer's hottest flicks.

I should start promoting this a bit more now that we've got a few active people. I know of a few people worth inviting here, and of course putting a link in your signature can't hurt either (which I did on MFGG).

I would help with promoting it, but most of the people who listen to me are Japanese fangirls of Susumu Hirasawa, and I don't think you really want those, haha.

If you want, though, I'll help out how I can.

Japanese fangirls... no, that's not quite the audience I'm looking for, even if they're not as unpleasant as some groups one could attract.

Don't be afraid to invite anyone you'd think might be interested in joining and being a positive contributor, though (especially since lots of people have little or no work/school for a while). Invitations to people you know are the most likely way to get new members, after all, especially for small forums.

I might enter. I could even make duplicate accounts and enter more than once if it would make you feel better.

Thanks, but just do one entry per person. Besides, if you're caught making extra accounts (except for Lefty, the forum test account), they'll be merged into each other. Administrators can do magic things like that.

'Twas simply a joke so it looked like more than just one person entered the contest.
