I think that's what I'll end up doing. I'll do my best eliminating the final vestiges of the Hello Engine, and I believe I can make a simple .INI, unless you'd still like to do that.
And yes, I have been doing some major-league procrastinating on this project, although it's in part because I've been busier the past few weeks. It's also because I'm going to add a bunch of new features and maybe replace the MIDIs with better-soundfonted MP3s.

A quick update: I've been doing a lot of work on ROTW over the past few days, including revising the HUD, fixing the stupid errors I made last year with the tiles (killing the transparency with MS Paint), and fixing a bunch of collision problems (like the tendency to slide through the pipe in the Forest of Collusion, or the wall in the first level). Once all that is ironed out, I'll add a bunch of new levels and bosses and maybe even add some kind of achievements system.
If all goes well, the final version will be ready by NCFC.

Take a look, folks. This is the hastily-constructed booth for this game at the SEGA Amateur Games Expo (SAGE). I'm still working on this, of course, and it might even be ready by NCFC.

That links to the site itself - not your booth, you silly. Not sure how to find it either, since the site's navigation doesn't seem to have a way to point me to it, and Google fails to find me the page. But when you fix that, I'll go and check it out!

Here's the booth itself: ?act=walrus. It was thrown together hastily, and it's basically the description I wrote for NCFC.
You can also go to the SAGE site and click "Full List" to see the list of all the games, including mine. ROTW is at the bottom because I submitted it rather late. --- Edited by: Bibby, Sep 20th, 2011 @ 1:16 pm

Oh, I see - the booth is set up right here at home. Cool. I'll play the demo and voice my thoughts here in a little while. I'll probably edit them into this post when I've done so.

I sure am. I'll have a really groovy version up for NCFC that improves on many of the faults of the earlier versions.
Also, just for the record, here's a good review someone wrote for the SAGE version, as well as Techokami's little blurb where he gave me the coveted SAGE Late to the Party Award.

Version 0.82 is now available - my first update since April 15. This update includes a bunch of new levels, a new boss, and many changes to the engine and HUD. Feedback is appreciated, but keep in mind a lot of things were rushed big time. Yes, I did wait until 30 minutes before NCFC to upload the newest version. Take that for procrastination.
