Oh yes... Alex Art. I've always liked your stuff. Is the soy sauce girl an original character? For some reason she made me smile.
I'm not the world's greatest art expert, of course, but the main problem I see is that the thicknesses of the lines are sometimes a bit inconsistent, like with the chin of the black rings guy.
Course clear! You got a card.

Thanks. Yeah, Soy is original. I like her too! ![]() Yeah, I see what you mean. While you have to make the lines differ in thickness to avoid making it seem boring and lifeless, some lines, including Ember's chin (the black ring guy), haven't been "cleaned up". Some more drawings: ![]() Not based on Marceline from Adventure Time, believe it or not. I was asked by my sister to quickly sketch up my impressions of a photo of a doll or something in about one minute. I kinda liked the design, so I colored the lines. Might end up using this character in the future. ![]() WIP. I know that her arm is too short, but please point out any other flaws that you find. ![]() Another drawing of Soy. Not much to say about this one. --- Edited by: Alex, Nov 30th, 2011 @ 3:03 pm |

Yes, the jester girl does need a bigger arm, especially in relationship to the size of her feet.
You should do some more stuff with these characters in the future, particularly Soy.

Yes, I certainly will. Soy is one of my favorites. The only new thing I have to show off right now is some WIP concept art for Tim Grale. Gonna enter with a sprite of him in MFGG's current sprite compo. ![]() --- Edited by: Alex, Dec 3rd, 2011 @ 6:57 pm |

It's Kay Faraday from Ace Attorney Investigations getting hugged by Marceline from Adventure Time. |

Simon: Some interesting lighting effects on this.
Kay: Kay doesn't seem to appreciate being on the receiving end of the thing that makes the world go round!

My tablet/tablet pen is being weird (three-second delay from when I stop pressing to when it stops drawing), so I can't color this until I've gotten myself a new one
![]() ![]() The perspective looks wonky in this one to me btw. Your thoughts? --- Edited by: Alex, Dec 14th, 2011 @ 12:12 pm |

I'm no Mrs A.-grade art critic, but the perspective looks fine. My main complaint is that while I know it's a cartoony style, I think her eyebrows look too much like her eyes.
And yeah, that's a really strange glitch.
