You know, as special as McDonald's makes these sandwiches sound, they're actually pretty bad - at least the one I tried when I was in Daytona a few weeks ago.

Presentation - 7/10
The sandwich itself looks quite appealing. It feels a little dense in your hand, and it also happens to be sufficiently messy to eat.

Taste - 3/10
The barbecue sauce is pretty fine, and the bun and the onions (which are hard to mess up) were tasty. Where it goes wrong is the meat itself, which tastes like rubber, except it's not as flavorful as rubber. Sadly, without the Rib part, it's just a a Mc, and that's not much fun.

Value - 4/10
I don't remember how much mine cost, but it wasn't anything sky-high. However, there's a lot of better-tasting eats at McD's that cost about the same price and taste a whole lot better.

Overall - 3/10

If you're really hungry and have never tasted one before, you cold give it a try, but otherwise you're best off steering clear. McDonald's has been reviving the McRib periodically for decades, but I'm kind of missing the point.

Also, discuss mediocre fast food in general.
Course clear! You got a card.

Did you know that the McRib has 70 different ingredients? 34 of those are in the bun alone.

Pretty disgusting if you ask me.

Fast food at McDonald's has always been nasty to me anyway. As far as nasty fast food in general, even places I like to eat sometimes end up with less-than-favorable meals when the employees don't put enough care into their jobs. A local Wendy's started to have the most awful-tasting food you could legally sell for a long time when a good manager quit.

Almost, but not quite, relevant. Apologies - couldn't resist.

I didn't sneak a correction into a years-old post.
