Does anyone really care about screensavers these days? I'm a boring person who usually just sets the screensaver to display a super-thrilling black screen after 10 minutes or so of inactivity.

Pipes all the way, man! Well, if I had those, I'd use 'em. I switch between two from time to time - Nite Shadow's Skies of Dark World screensaver and the standard Windows Vista logo one.

What's a screensaver? In all seriousness though, I think they're completely unnecessary; in all situations where one could show up I always set my computer to either just shut down the monitor or sleep mode or whatever. I mean I guess they were kinda silly things that were fun to create back in the day (and people liked them) but there's really no need for them; if I want to watch something cool I'll watch a movie or whatever lol |

Weren't they made to prevent burn-in? Hence, "screensaver?" But of course turning off the monitor would be a better idea. I used to have a bunch of screensavers based on mario title screens... Mario Bros, SMB, SMB3, SSB64, etc. They were neat. Also, the BSOD screensaver was neat. |

Screensavers were originally designed to help prevent burn-in, but this problem doesn't really exist on modern-day monitors. But it's still not a bad excuse for putting a Mario title screen on your computer...
