And that's exactly when I get out my old NES and start playing old baseball games on it.
Discuss old (non-emulated) NES and Super NES systems and that sort of thing.

Sadly, I've only been able to play 2 games on the NES, non-emulated. Not-so-sadly, they were Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. It's fun having a competition with a bunch of folks to see who can do the best.

Ah, the NES days... I have fonder memories of my N64 personally, but NES was a great system. I like SMB2. Didn't The Wizard primarily focus on the NES?
Toad Strikes back is better on SNES however. Parodius too, that's for sure.

I've played my SNES and N64 a lot more than my NES, but I still get it out once in a while. I still have all the SMB games, a bunch of sports games, and Yoshi's Cookie. I still miss GameSpot not selling used NES games like they used to - I guess emulation killed that.
Did anyone ever port Toad Strikes Back to the Super NES? I never heard about that.

Darn it, I meant Wario's Woods. Toad Strikes Back is a fan-game, right??

TSB was Thunder Dragon's game, which is often considered the best Mario fangame.

The Wii has put my old consoles out of business for the most part (except the Atari 2600; nothing beats the atari experience).
But it's pretty much daily for me to sit down and play an old game from the NES, SNES, or N64 era. Funny how the games my parents disliked ended up being my favorites. I would pop in the original Zelda or SMB2 and they'd say "no that is soooo stupid" so I wouldn't play them. But now, SMB2 is my fav Mario game and Zelda is like my favorite series. @Blue_Gazelle: If I recall correctly, The Wizard only dealed with NES games. Any arcade machines used actually had the NES versions of the game on them. |

I haven't played anything for the NES/SNES, besides things rereleased for other systems.

I actually saw some for sale a few years back. They were advertising it like it was a new system.
