How'd your family make their way to America? Did they fight for freedom, come over from somewhere else because of the economy? Did they frequently vacation and finally decided to move? If you don't live in America, have you ever and what was your reason to move?


-My mother's mother came from Germany. They left because Nazis stole their potatoes, and said that they'd be back next time they grew again. Yep, you hear right, potato farmers. My grandmother married an Irish guy and had my mom.


-My father's father came from Italy, I dunno why. My great-grandfather only spoke Italian, as I'm told. My grandfather married a Native American Japanese woman and had my dad.



Then they had Larnuu and me, we lived all over the USA, then they got tired and bought a farm. No I'm stuck here until I get my ostriche delivered.

Don't really know about anyone else but my Polish great-grandfather met my Japanese great-grandmother in WWI or II or something like that and came over here, afaik.

I don't live there, but I live right on the border. A drive about 20 minutes south is all I need to end up in Americaland, where I can have all the prepackaged pulled pork and Ramune I want.

As for my family, my father was Irish, but was a successful real-estate salesman in Canada. He met mum, who's Mexican, through a dating magazine, and she moved here to be with him.

Most of my ancestors came from Scotland a long, long time ago. I need to get a little verification before I can confirm their original motivations for coming, though, besides getting away from the bagpipes and kilts.

Well, my paternal grandmother is half Polish and half Dutch. My grandfather on that side came from Hungary.

I don't know my biological maternal grandparents but I think they were born in the US and had...

Actually I don't know but I heard I have Scottish, Irish, French, and Italian in me.
