I suspect you're focusing on the base engine right now, but have you been working on any new levels since the first demo?

@ Bibby:
Well, not really actually. I'm making a stable engine before I start adding the actual levels and story. That's what I did wrong with the previous engine: I started off way too soon with adding the story and such. Oh well, won't make that mistake again ![]() We're hoping do be adding the actual content in about one or two weeks, when the engine is complete enough. I'll update later today (or maybe tomorrow, but soon, anyway.)

I've love to see some new levels, of course, but the way you're doing it makes good sense.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so (my little brother keeps asking me when the game's done
![]() Anyway, I'm adding coins, shops, NPC's and that kind of stuff right now. I hope to be starting the actual game soon ![]()

Really, it's quite a good sign for any game when people are asking when it's going to be finished, even if it's a long way off...
Just out of curiosity, are the shopkeepers going to be Goombas and Koopas and the like?

Well, no.
Since the game sets in the Waffle Kingdom, me and BlueGuy made some custom Waffle (and other yummy food) characters, including a shopkeeper. Shopkeeper: ![]() (He's just a BETA character now, he still needs shading, a name and stuff like that) Do you like him?

I like the character quite a bit, as long as the waffle theme is executed fairly well (and I'm thinking it will be). A living, talking waffle will likely fit quite naturally in a Paper Mario-like environment.
I'll tell you if I come up with a name that does justice to him.

Does just the shopkeeper guy need a name, or does the entire group of waffle people need a name?
