I've already written much about my previous semester's group project and my cute but somewhat annoying teammates, but I'm sticking this here because it's rather funny, even if it's not worthy of its own topic.

The fictional startup company we created for the project has a name similar to this, and in the earlier versions of the document, I kept calling it "Smooth Experience," which was, without question, inspired by last year's MFGG Wiki event. I'd almost forgotten about that.

Also, my summer 2013 Information Systems project, which was the subject of another topic on this forum, provided the inspiration for the Director of Human Resources. Now you know.

Some time before that Freedom Planet game came out, there was a little derp with the Japanese text that was in the logo at the time.
Strife @ Sonic Retro
The way the logo is right now, it's basically reading as "Freed*** Planet" to the Japanese.

I don't like computer cases that make it hard to change out important components, especially when the component they don't want changed is the power supply. I made mine work, though it ain't particularly pretty.

The Activity Graph strikes back. 2014 was nearly 50% more active than 2013, which is a nice improvement, although still noticeably less active than 2011 and 2012. But considering the decline in popularity of independent forums in general, it's good that we're still alive and kicking.

Miles
those things are little Sonics in legless reptile form.

Miles is the only person who could describe a rat snake in a way as interesting as this.

In other news, Note.TXT has dropped to 203 bytes. I don't know how long it's been since it was that small - probably 2006 or 2007. There are still lots of cool things I can keep procrastinating on, though!

About a decade ago, I developed a theory that the majority of human activities involve converting one of the Six Great Forces (Money, Effort/Time, Power/Influence, Force/Violence, Knowledge/Information, and Sex) into one of the other Six Great Forces. Some of these activities are positive, while some of them are not.

I didn't feel like making a topic or a Tumblr/Twitter post about this, but this chart shows the workings of this less-than-useful theory. I made it marginally more fun by using a Paper Mario font.

I was looking at some random posts from Posts 2010.TXT, and I dug up this one from the Diet Pills Land topic on the defunct 2010 iteration of the MFGG forums. I wish the other posts still lived on. The date of this post was March 20, 2010, in case anyone else is addicted to exact dates.

My 2010 self
Atkins. Cabbage soup. Air Force. Grapefruit. I tried all the diets. But the paltry pounds I lost would always come right back.

I tried exercise programs that would make an Olympian faint. My hips were still solid flab.

I turned to hypnosis, to liposuction, to tears. Nothing would make me happy with the way I looked.

But then one fine day, I looked at a message in my spam folder. There was this ad for Atlas33 diet pills. I sent a blank check and got a box of that magic medicine. Now I'm a swimsuit model. You will be, too, if you use Atlas33 diet pills.
