For quite a few years, there's been a freeware simulation of WeatherStar 4000. If you don't know what WS4000 is, it was the software that The Weather Channel used for its Local Forecasts many years ago.

It's fun to set up your own Local Forecast with custom music and silly crawl messages.

A recent update restores radar functionality, which hasn't always worked in recent years.

Be forewarned that it takes a bit of trial and error to set up the locations you want to appear in your forecast.

I remember trying this! I think you showed it to me.

I had some trouble getting it to work. Can't remember the details, but I figured it out in the end. This'd be a good place to put PASSPORT.MID and Highway Blues on the playlist.

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

It's just a video, but this mix would mix with WeatherStar 4000 simulators quite well

Oh yes, this is a very good place to use Highway Blues or PASSPORT.MID!

And yeah, classic TWC music works well for this. I actually bought a Pat Metheny CD a few years ago just so I could rip the MP3s and use them for this. That said, Pat Metheny music is pretty cool even if you're not using it for a TWC simulator.
