Seems Imgur is about to delete a lot of images - especially images that aren't connected to a registered Imgur account.

This might cause a lot of avatars, signature images, and other images to vanish into the ether, both here and on other forums and blogs all over the Internet. We have a handful of forum theme images hosted on Imgur - I'll make sure to get an offline copy in case those get deleted.

It might be wise to do a quick search to make sure that there aren't any Imgur-hosted images here or on other places you frequent. I never used Imgur much, but it seems that Imgur noped a few rarely-admired game screenshots I posted a few years ago.

I know there are automated scraping tools for retrieving large numbers of images from Imgur, though I've never actually tried using them.

Was bound to happen eventually I suppose. Time to go and retrieve anything we want to keep.

@fantanoice Awesome - I'm glad someone did that! Thankfully, I haven't noticed any images break here, though there might be some in old topics.
