That 20LB CO2 tank is finally depleted. After drinking highly carbonated seltzer almost exclusively, it's lasted me about 4 months. This assessment is subject to a large number of variables, including consumption amount, carbonation level, water temperature, among other things. I would say with my consumption I am doing well here, as it's still really cheap to get this thing refilled.

On the subject of Soda Syrup: The Restaurant Store has shipped the syrups I ordered.

I should know more once fedex updates it's tracking.

I've had my soda syrups for a few days now. worked out a decent ratio (Slightly above what they recommend) and I think I can safely give a little bit of a review on Narvon now.
Keep in mind, I went in with low expectations.

Cola:
This one isn't bad. Tastes like a decent cola.
In a comparison between Pepsi and Coke, I would place it somewhere in between.
So far this is my favorite of the three.

Root Beer:
The flavor reminds me of A&W. Mixed strong this makes excellent floats.
Very sweet, very thick.
The mixing process almost looks like pouring motor oil into water before you cap it and shake it.
(Open the bottle very slowly, and be ready to suck the cap back on after mixing this one, the water does not loose any carbonation until AFTER it's mixed. as such, this soda will try to escape until pressure has been equalized.)

Grape:
...This is slushy syrup...


Overall, every one of these tastes a lot better than the actual sodastream brands. Slightly more complicated to get it mixed, but well worth it.

what happens when you mix slush syrup with bubbly water, anyway? when i used to work in retail, we'd get boxes of fanta syrup for a slush machine at the store, and i always wondered what'd happen if you tried to run it through a soda spigot

Honestly, it's not terrible. It just comes out with far less flavor than you would expect.

I would say so. Mixing it with just regular water, it tastes like coolaid.

now all you need is a slush machine and you can make slushes, too

Or a blender and some ice cubes. It's not hard.

Finally full scale with this. I ain't running out of soda for quite awhile...


Gonna need a lot more ice cream...
