Make them be at least somewhat respectful. Please.
Two days ago at the theater, I encountered a few kids whose parents I wanted to say quite a share of unpleasant words to. The kids themselves shouted during relatively important dialogue, clapped obnoxiously at the end of random scenes, and had a little contest to see who could squeak their chair the most. Not once did I see or hear the parents do anything about it. Ultimate internal rage - I thought evil thoughts that day that no man should ever think. Then again, I guess that is a bit extreme to be thinking over minor annoyances - but who said I was sane? - still, the point remains: it's not something I'd want to put up with again, and neither would you.
Just saying.

All too true. I can't let the grown-ups off the hook, either, when they talk loudly on their cell phones or let their phones ring at inappropriate times.

I'm almost positive I'll have a kid(s) one day, most people do, and why should I be an exception? So I've thought ahead. Don't worry, my kid(s) will be one of the ones that you'll want to give a gold medal to for being well-behaved.
Speaking of cell-phones, raise your hand if you hate them to death.

One kid would be plenty for me, though.
Cell phones can be useful when used responsibly, but I too get irked when people are glued to them when driving or walking or otherwise using them at stupid times.

Bibby Cell phones can be useful when used responsiblySorry, but that just makes me laugh. There's no such thing anymore (save about 100 people in the world).

One of those 100 people was my brother, who's used one as part of a part-time job covering football for the newspaper.

I myself use mine only for contacting a parent if something important comes up.

As I said, only about 100 people use it appropriately.
Anyway, how old were these kids? They sound pretty young.
