A modified coffee pot. (UGLY MOD AHOY!), Now serves the purpose of an electric outlet timer.

Likely the ugliest thing I've ever done. but, this thing works as intended.
Parts were extracted from a broken coffee pot. The timing functions still operate as intended, supplying power to whatever is connected to the electrical outlet I've installed in place of the heating element from the coffee pot.
Also, in case it isn't obvious, the tool of choice was a steak knife. the rest was hot glue.

Another Cool Nite Trick. It might not be the prettiest thing ever, but it gets the job done!

Update:
As hard as it may be to believe, this thing is still functioning. (Though due for some repairs)
Connecting it to a stereo, allows me to use it for an alarm clock, provided I have it set to start playing as soon as it receives power, or it's set to radio.
And should I forget that it's on, it shuts itself off after 2 hours, as per the original function of the coffee pot that it came from.

Neat! It might not be fancy, but it still lives! There's probably some practical things you could do with that.
