This will be the first time I've ever discussed game making-related things - at least in any detail - in Real Life. Should be an interesting experience! Again, give me a buzz if you'd like a particular resource to be featured during my presentation, and I'll see what I can do.

Good luck my good friend!
Nothing in particular comes to mind, apart from Hello engine.

My presentation went quite nicely. No one threw rotten tomatoes at me or called me dirty names during the presentation. Some people even said they found it to be informative! Maybe I'll do something like this again in the future.

And yes, I am well aware that this presentation actually happened a week and a half ago. Slow responses can happen when you're in Team Project Wonderland.

That's awesome, is there a recording somewhere? What was the gender ratio like?

And on that day, mankind received a grim reminder...

It was awesome indeed! They recorded a handful of the presentations, but I don't think they recorded mine. I'll probably do a similar presentation in the future, though, so maybe we'll get a recording next time. If you'd like, I could send you the PowerPoint and the list of things I did in GM during the presentation.

I'd say that about one-third of my audience was female. The youngest person was about 15, and the oldest was maybe 50. Most of them were white, but there was a mix of races. To put this in context, my presentation was one of many breakout sessions at a general IT conference. My audience was probably younger and more diverse than a lot of the sessions.

I also did four presentations teaching Python programming to inner-city kids at a summer camp this week. That was fun.
