Episode 4: We Don't Need Roads

The Vinny and Vanessa stepped out of the TORTOISE and looked onto their immediate surroundings. It was the year 5000, which Vanessa supposedly hailed from. "Does any of this seem familiar to you?" The Vinny asked. "Afraid not." Vanessa replied.

Suddenly, The Vinny started to shiver. "Something is... wrong. Something's not right here." The Vinny said to himself. "What do you think it is?" Vanessa asked. "I don't know, but I plan to investigate." The Vinny replies.

They searched and searched, but never found anything. "Maybe there's nothing here. Maybe you were just wrong." Vanessa says. "No, a team lord doesn't get this kind of feeling for just no reason." The Vinny replies. "There's something I'm missing. Something staring me in the face, but no matter how I try, I can't... see it."

Suddenly, The Vinny realized what was going on. "Somebody must have placed a perception filter on something." The Vinny says. "What's that?" asked Vanessa. "A perception filter is a device that prevents us from noticing something. It's not invisible, but it prevents us from acknowledging its existence. Almost as if we don't want to." he replies. "We need to look for something that our brains are steering us away from."

The suspense is building!


I like how the plot of Vinny Who transitions perfectly into Dustin's signature.

Episode 5: The Anomaly

Vinny and Vanessa searched and searched. Their minds were open and their eyes were peeled, but it took them hours to find even the slightest clue. However, eventually, they found the old (or new, rather) site of Cliax Enterprises.

"This seems to be the place." The Vinny says. "How can you be so sure?" Vanessa replies. "Because I keep forgetting that it exists." he replies back. "Yeah, that would do it." Vanessa says with a chuckle. "What would do it?" The Vinny says in a confused fashion. "You forgetting about the site." she replies. "What site?" he says. "OH! That one."

"Well, I guess the next step would be to step inside it and see what happens." The Vinny says. "Are you sure that's safe?" Vanessa asks. "No, not really. If I had some other team lords here, I may be able to get a second opinion, but that can't happen." he replies. "Why not?" Vanessa asks. "Because, well, they came down with a bad case of... not being alive."

The Vinny pauses for a moment and melodramatically contemplates the fate of his race. "Well, I suppose we don't have all day. No wait, we do because we're time travellers. Either way, I'm going in."

Sometimes Vinny melodramatically contemplates the fate of his race when he sees social media posts and political ads. Perhaps he should go back in time to stop those.

Given that today is Vinny/Bibby's birthday, I feel posting a Vinny Who would be very appropriate!

Episode 6: Fade to White

The Vinny steps inside the former site of Cliax Enterprises. He stands there for a moment, but nothing seems to happen. "Hm. It doesn't look like anything is happening." says Vanessa. "Think again!" The Vinny says with a grin. "Step inside." "I'm... not sure I want to." Vanessa says hesitantly. "Come on, you'll be fine!" The Vinny replies.

Vanessa steps inside and nothing happens. "Look closely." The Vinny says to Vanessa. "I don't see anything." she says. "Closer." he replies. Vanessa looks and squints as hard as possible. To her surprise, she sees the faint outline of Cliax Enterprises. "Of course!" Vanessa says. "I remember now! This is where it's supposed to be!" "It's almost like I said so or something." The Vinny replies.

"It seems that the building is in a state of time flux. It's partially stuck between two eras and both are fighting for dominance." The Vinny explains. After a bit of time, they step outside and find themselves back in 2016. "How did we get back here?!" Vanessa asks. "The pull seems to be stronger in this era. Standing in the site for that long pulled us back into the dominant era." The Vinny explains.

"So, how do we get it back?" Vanessa asks. "I don't know. This kind of rip in the fabric of time takes massive amounts of power. The kind of power humans and most other species won't have access to for centuries. It would take..."

The Vinny's previously confused expression turned to one of dread. "Take what? What would it take?" Vanessa asks.

"It would take... a team lord."

Or maybe we'll need to raid that underground Cliaxium research center that WikiLeaks reported on in A.D. 2016...

Just a short one to get us back into the swing after so long.

Episode 7: Not So Lone?

"It can't be. It can't be!" The Vinny says hysterically. "What can't be?" Vanessa asks. "The... the team lords. It seems one survived." The Vinny replies. "So? Isn't that a good thing?" Vanessa asks. "Well... not really." The Vinny responds. "I may have... romanticized the memory of my people. They were bad, Vanessa. A bunch of pompous stagnant fools with too much power."

The Vinny runs inside the Cliax Enterprises building. "Show yourself! I know you're here!" The Vinny yells. However, he is met with only deafening silence. "I SAID COME OUT!" he insists. There is a brief pause before footsteps are heard. "Fine, fine, you don't have to shout." a man replies. "Who are you?!" The Vinny asks. "Who... am I?" the man replies. "Which team lord are you?!" The Vinny asks louder. "I believe you know me quite well, Vincent." the man says. The man walks into view and his face is clear.

"It's... you." The Vinny says.

I wonder who this you is.

Episode 8: Dustin for Prince

"It's been a while, The Vinny." the man says. As he steps out of the shadows, The Vinny recognizes him as his childhood friend The VGMaster. "I thought I was the only one." The Vinny says. "I thought everyone else died. What have you been doing all this time?" "I have been planning my next move. My plans. My ambition." The VGMaster replies. "You were playing StarTropics, weren't you?" The Vinny says. "................................Maybe." The VGMaster replies.

"What is your plan, anyway?" The Vinny asks. "What? You think I'm just going to tell you my entire plan with nothing in it for myself besides a brief moment of indulging my own ego?" The VGMaster scoffs. "Yeah, pretty much." The Vinny says. "Alright, fine." The VGMaster says.

"As you know, I was banished from Galliflorida for attempting to overthrow the government and make it illegal to not play StarTropics." The VGMaster says. "Those darned fools wouldn't know a good ruler or a good game if it bit them in the behind! So, I decided that if I couldn't rule Galliflorida, I would rule my own world. This world. I stole the largest collection of cliaxium in the universe and brought it to this present time. In a mere few minutes, I will hold the entire world ransom. Make me ruler or I'll use this cliaxium to blow up the planet."

"You're insane!" The Vinny yells, clearly horrified. "Of course I am. When were you under the impression I wasn't?" The VGMaster says.
