"BT Forums" or "#BibbyTeam" started trending on Twitter. Unless we were the subject of an inexplicably viral chain of retweets, I think this would require an endorsement from someone famous like Barack Obama or Taylor Swift or something: "The Bibby Team Forums are my favorite Web site. I check them every day, and you should too!" Another possibility would be CBS replacing the Super Bowl 50 halftime show with a Cheerwine Deluxe 3 trailer.

  • Would the server crash from the unexpected load?
  • Would the flood of new members happen late at night, with new members finding themselves unable to post until I approved their accounts or disabled admin approval?
  • Would hundreds of members join, make a couple of posts, and forget they even registered here, like so many other members we've had?
  • Would we get a deluge of the not-nice posts and messages that tend to pollute the online world?
  • Would these new members actually stick around and be productive members of the community?
  • Would random companies try to figure out how to buy ad space on this ad-free site?
  • Would this trigger the apocalypse and the Cubs winning the World Series

Acquiring a ridiculous number of members has never been my goal for this forum, for a variety of reasons, but I've wondered about the outcomes of this hypothetical scenario.

(Most of this post also applies to MFGG, but an MFGG-related social media blitz is much closer to the realm of possibility than the scenario outlined above.)
Course clear! You got a card.
... really? That's what you call Guile?

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.
