well, if nothing else, was the weather like they said it was going to be? it got down to like 45F here one or two days, and i don't know if it was the same further in the midwest than i am

It was cool in Omaha, in more ways than one. Highs were usually in the low 50s F., and lows were a little below freezing. I realized that it wasn't the best idea to wander about outside wearing a very thin jacket! The dry Midwestern cold felt a lot different from your typical humid Southern cold.
