Hey, Mitchstar - no more topics about this game. Listen to Fujiko.

HEY MILES!!!! Why no finding out if Clone is bad or good????

Since story mode is as good as dead right now, I'll just say everything about this right here. He was meant to be found in some level and he'd follow you around for a few levels as a friend but at one point he'd turn against you - in a scene I had planned, your AI partner (the Mario bro you didn't pick) was to get trapped in a cage as you were walking, and Clone would attack you. The rest of the levels would have evil Clones to fight in a few places, til the last one, where whoever the villain that created those clones would have been (I never picked one).

This project is beyond frustrating to work on now due to random framerate issues, so, the story half of it is now a thing of the past. I'm forever done with this - the Battle Mode by itself is enough, and I'm leaving it at that.

But but. That's just bad! I just wanted to play the game and see Clone in Story for REAL! Story mode is my favourite and without the Yoshis or what happens with Clone. It's just too stupid. scince you said Story mode is dead. It just makes me feel like I don't want to play your game anymore

I'm pretty sure Battle Mode will be well worth playing even if that's the only thing that ever gets finished in JFF.

I see this has just been accepted on the MFGG main site. Are you still working on this project? If not, I'd like to type up a review for it.

The battle mode is pretty much finalized there (and is its own game now), so sure, you could write a review. I can already guess of the mention of the overuse of the SMB3 battle theme, but... there was little I could do for that. :\

To answer your question, though, I am arguably working on bits and pieces of a story, but I've decided that I'm simply going to let it be a different game with the same engine.

I set up a booth at the 2011 Nintendo Community Fangame Convention for this game. Check it out, if you're into that kind of event.

I like your booth - it looks good and has a lot of information about your game.

It also reminds me I need to get working on my own NCFC booth.

I added two and three player support, and the option to choose if player one uses a keyboard or a controller. Now the game doesn't force you to use a controller if one is plugged in - you can pick all this through the menus now.

Minor updates include making the rainbow mode more obvious during gameplay, and making the Desert arena less painful and more fun to play on - that death pit has a much smaller danger zone now. I've removed all the story levels to save a bit of file space.

That's pretty much it.
