One other thing. A few minutes ago I got a message that my adblock extension had crashed and asked me to click on a balloon which i did to reactivate. All is fine now. I might seem paranoid but I've got some reason to believe some guy is trying to hack into my computer but is having difficulty cause it's a chromebook. Could the fact adblock crashed be indicative of someone trying to hack in?

I wouldn't imagine that would have anything to do with a potential hack.

What reason do you have to believe it would be? I'm curious.

He did it twice before on my windows xp desktop. Dude's a parasite and doing a very bad thing to a friend who deserves better. I'd call him a weasel.

Adblock crashing in particular shouldn't be indicative that somebody is trying to hack your computer, at least by my logic on the matter.
But this doesn't exactly rule anything out.
The security on a Chromebook is really high, a hacker would be hard pressed to get past this from a remote source.

About that person you suspect though
One thing I would do in this situation, is catch this guy in the act, whatever you choose to do at this point, is up to you.

I for one would be quite furious. I would probably deal some major damage to that guys equipment.

It is a totally messed up deal.
