Interesting. How did the digital art-to-canvas transfer happen?

The idea is simple enough:
Do a high quality printout of the painting on a sheet of waterslide decal transfer paper, trying to match the scale of the canvas as closely as possible. trimming with scissors if needed.
Once printed, spray with a clear protectant (Like high gloss krylon)
after allowing the decal sheet to dry, carefully apply it to the canvas, using a cosmetic sponge to carefully work any air bubbles out from under the sheet.
Allow the canvas, and sheet to dry, and spray with a sealer to make permanent. (I just used the same protectant from before.)

It's an imperfect science, but it most certainly gets the job done.
