The Lakers are tanking... and they're keeping Mike D'Antoni.
They could just as easily take a flier on an asst. to give him a shot but they're going to keep Mike D'Antoni.
Because the Busses feel sure he isn't going to turn s*** around.

D'Antoni ain't getting fair shot with Lakers. Got a D league roster this season and last season was injury and no chemistry with Dwight and Kobe fighting.

tyrone D'Antoni ain't getting fair shot with Lakers. Got a D league roster this season and last season was injury and no chemistry with Dwight and Kobe fighting.Yeah, only had Kobe, Gasol, and Dwight (with Nash, Blakes, Jamison, Artest, Meeks, and Hill as their sidemen). Dwight (and Gasol's) lack of working wasn't just due to fighting.... Mike D'Antoni had no idea how to use a center or a player who can work inside His game runs inside out. Also, he got a far better shot than Mike Brown... Will the Lakers be paying both of them next year or does one (or both) have contracts ending this yr? |

He's not a great coach, but most of his Laker blame was probably undeserved. There was no shot at being good this season or making noise without Kobe in last season's playoffs. I am glad to see him go, though. His probably could've built decent teams in LA, but the no defense style simply doesn't win titles. |
