i've told the people in cat's skype group about this, so i may as well post a topic here. i'd like to get some feedback on the ideas i've agot for this thing.


this idea happened after vitiman got banned. i wanted to do an entry in the super charisma bros. series because i've always liked the idea behind the series: a bunch of mfggers get together and do goofy s*** in typical joke game fashion. this game is strongly influenced by those games, if it isn't an outright spiritual successor. the premise is pretty similar, but probably more gameplay oriented. i'd like to make a game, primarily of the shooter genre, with three main playable characters. one of them, myself, would be a 2D platformer and cover-based shooter hybrid. another, geno, would be a directional shooter similar to robotron, probably like the geno levels in charisma 5. i'm not sure who i'm going to put in as the final character; it could be cam, miles, or bibby, but i don't have any ideas for any of them. i'd like everyone to have call of duty style regenerative health, i know that much.

edit: totally forgot to say this; i'm going to feature a few of my real-life friends in this game as well, though i'm not sure if i'll have the means to make them playable or not

This sounds fun - I've always liked that type of game. If I'm going to make an appearance, perhaps I can do something relating to (American) football.

bibby, do you have a ref in sprite form? i'm thinking what i might do is, instead of having a third character, put multiple extra playable characters in for one stage or so

Myte sprited my wrestling character, although it's pretty old stuff (as in four years old).

Seems awesome, I've always loved charisma games. I suggest you to make this different than charisma.

bibby, that sprite's running animation is goofy enough that it's perfect for a game like this. haha

i haven't gotten to the point where i wouldn't want to work on it anymore, so i guess so. i was intending to have this out by the first of april, but that's just not even close to being possible with how much i have to do before i graduate.

i'd like to have this out by the end of the summer. "like to" being the keyword. i'd also like to have a public build ready once i finish the first stage, which shouldn't be long.
