2014
- Make 3 Worlds for Mysterious Islands by NCFC 2014.
- Make a new SMB1 hack.
- Port my old one into Game Maker using Mikeystar's SMB Engine.
- Make graphics for all works of mine.
NCFC 2013 fills me with shame.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm looking forward to seeing the final version of MI.
As for my own game-making plans, I'd love to finish Cheerwine Deluxe 3, make progress on one of my indie game projects, and enter a few of the Minigame Competitions on MFGG. On the other hand, taking four college classes per semester and looking for a job saps a lot of the time and motivation I have for making games.
Course clear! You got a card.

School sure always have a higher prioriy in America, eh? Id say, go for it, if you plan to look at your schedule as a deadline.

fireball3k what's this about a mfgg tko beta test?In a Skype group with TheShyGuy and a few others involved in developing the game. My role is a beta-tester, although I have expressed interest in level design. --- Edited by: TDW, Feb 13th, 2014 @ 7:09 pm

Change of plans due to various unforeseeable things.
-Made progress on MLCC but im having trouble working up motivation. -Same thing with SMWASE. -Nova Southeastern University will be an issue for my free time this week and will not relent till May 2015. -Demo for MI will not be foreseeable.

- Because of school, a smaller scale project for NCFC would suffice that samples my level design abilities.
Its an SMB hack called The Redemption of the Bros!, fittingly named for the disgrace I had endured from my last hack and NCFC's controversal 2013. I hope to beable to redeem myself. --- Edited by: TDW, Sep 7th, 2014 @ 4:39 pm

What kind of SMB hack will it be? What will make it different from the last one? Will there be different graphics? Will the game be easier (or harder)?

A retrospective of 2014 with regards to fangaming. Level design: 2014 was a year that I began to emphasize introduction of gimmicks in a safe way. I feel that my 2013 level design and before failed to do just the essential basic tenant of level design. I also attempted to lower the long-standing issue of my fangame's difficulty spike. I still believe the current levels designed could use another redesign...except Wooden Forestial Bridge...that was the only level I can say that its well-designed. I have attempted to resume SMB3 Returns, which is one of the few projects I made that has some reasonably well-designed levels...I failed. As for Level Design Experiment, it isn't a typical fangame of sorts, more like my own test subject for my own experimental designs. 2014 was that year of experiment. Spriting: 2014 is where I branched out of using colors from SMB3. I wouldn't consider my tiles be shaded alike in that specific game, let alone can fit with the SMAS aesthetic. I have also experimented with spriting backgrounds from doodles and taking a random pic of the internet to convert to pixel art. I hope to learn to sprite enemies this year, though I have been quite critical of "art criticism" in recent events. Other fangames I played: I barely played any other fangames I do not have a hand in developing. I suppose that is selfish of me to outright say that. Overall: 2014 was a year of experimentation. I hope what 2015 holds in store for me. --- Edited by: TDW, Jan 5th, 2015 @ 8:09 pm
