It's a brilliant one hour piece produced by Tom Hanks as part of a larger production, "The Sixties."
Start's with the Beatles and moves on to the Stones, the Kinks, The Animals, The Who, and other British rock groups emerging during that period. It gets real interesting moving on to Dylan and the social, political themes accompanied by acoustic guitar and harmonica. John Lennon met Dylan began to think about merging rock music with the social issues of the time and what emerged was a counter-culture telling the man, "The Times they are a Changing." From the Kinks, "Well respected Man" to the Stones, "Street Fighting Man" and "Give Me Shelter" to the Beatles "Day in the Life" and basically the enitre White Album and Sgt. Peppers, the music reflected and inspired a movement for social change. Dylan along the way went electric as every group was watching what the other was playing and saying and a musical evolution unlike anything before or since.
That's sort of a thumbnail of a really great CNN show. It's still being replayed from last week as it leaves you wanting for more at the end.
