I want to conform to Bibby's desire for a friendly forum, but you guys aren't making it easy. The thinly veiled scorn implicit in much of what I'm reading here is only barely removed from, "I know you are but what am I."

FYI, its not my intention to act condescending to others. I have a habit of asking and seeking the truth to satisfy my need of knowledge through asking and responding bluntly.

Blunt, eh? Well that's how I'd characterize hiphocr when he wrote, "You must've missed the Lakers last year." Hiphopcr happens to be a professional sports journalist who pops in now and again displaying a wonderful talent for succinct, "end of story" directness. If being blunt as you call it is your thing, you would do well to pay attention.

I did not know. In fact, how in the bloody hell should I know if he is a professional sports journalist? Oh wait... Internet anonymity....right...right. I thought you three were stereotypical sports fans.
If you want to see a movie of Richard Figures (And I sure as hell want to see it.) Back This Project Up! -> https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/Richardfigures/Richard-figures-the-movie

"Stereotypical sports fans" says everything about where you're coming from. You're the guy that came up with Turkey Frankfurters yesterday, throwing fun as you three did at Superbowl parties and tradition.

Me? No. I'm not a sports fan. I just happen to participate only in major games, and its rare of me to even stick around even so as I'm busy doing (fan)game development, that's all.

First off, I'm not a professional sports writer, unless you count being a featured columnist for the click-hungry Bleacher Report (I don't)... or unless you count an article comparing LeBron to Kobe that got over 26K reads, hey-oh!

Secondly, to satisfy your thirst for knowledge, in my opinion, teams have a huge range of "tight-knitness". Chemistry varies on a huge scale and, to me, the Seahawks and Pacers are the gold standard.

The Seahawks are so tight knit I feel like the entire team takes turns swaddling Russell Wilson like a baby in their bosom in the locker room after games, and that Pete Carroll would legally adopt him if he could. The Superbowl promos painting the Seahawks as the modern age Bad Boys of football was a joke. Wilson is the heart and soul of that team and he is as classy as they come. If the NFL was a religion he'd have achieved sainthood by now.

Thirdly, my little line about the Lakers was in no way meant to be condescending to you. This will come out eventually but I live, breath, and (this season) die Lakers. This year has been soul crushing and if anything that post was a very self-deprecating swing with a frozen sledge hammer right into my grief bone.
