Having what seemed like some cool repartee regarding use of the term "stone lock" when suddenly it turned into a ridicule feeding frenzy directed my way. Guys talking about mommy not letting them eat this or that at superbowl parties and turkey frankfurters. A joke guys who have been here for a while got but at my expense and thought neither funny nor clever. I thought the exchange was pretty quick and fun when it suddenly turned to ganging up on the new guy. Anyway they passed up free info as my "stone lock" was just that. Gave some insight however as to what BibbyTeam is about. Or maybe they just started drinking early. So I posted a couple of great scenes from Goodwill Hunting which seemed about as relevant as Turkey Frankfurters and way more interesting. The NSA clip is amazing as it's near 20 years before Ed Snowden and right on the money. Like the sign says, "talkin' about anyting I want."

The reasons why you got this sort of " strange" yesterday because you didn't properly and didnt clearly explain your reasons and the meaning/context of your posts as to why you posted such things yesterday. We aren't used to hearing such jokes and jargon because we never dealt with them before. It's what got everyone confused. If you are going to joke around and post lines of quotes and videos in a way that can get people confused easily, you have to make your jokes obvious and easily understandable and explain in a clear and direct way.

So this is how it is then?

Okay, fine.

Goodbye.

If the stuff that was said yesterday gets blown up into THAT, then I want no part of it.

Baby Please Don't Go! Muddy Waters
Really wanted an explanation. You try being ganged up on as the new guy on the block instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

Like the sign says, General Discussion-anything you want to say...............

It must have been peer pressure. Just wanting to be "one of the boys."

Chill out, bros.

Tyrone, I get the feeling there's a bit of irony behind your joking, but be careful with sarcasm and sardonic humor: in the absence of nonverbal cues present in face-to-face interaction, such an attitude can rub people the wrong way, especially when they don't know you well. The online world is just like real life in that different places have different cultures - people behave differently depending on whether they're at work, school, a sports bar, church, or a family reunion - and usually this site has had a relatively lighthearted but coherent vibe. I've always tried to maintain a positive, friendly environment here - in fact, that's the only reason we've been able to keep this forum going as long as we have - so it would be nice if you could tone down the "edge" a notch or two.

As for those irritated by Tyrone, try not to let him bother you - I'm pretty sure that he doesn't have bad intentions. Just like Dr. Quinn - a show that I sure hadn't thought about in a while.
Course clear! You got a card.

Good advice...........bur I must say I was fine, just joking around when these guys start this mocking routine and of course I'll defend myself here today saying WTF? The thread speaks for itself.

No,
this whole thing just crossed the line, and I am fed up with it.

Nobody was mocking you, or talking about your mamma, or anything like that.

We didn't understand the jokes, and you made no indication of the fact that you were even joking, now THIS.

So no, I'm not going to be coming here if things get blown out to THIS.

If I'm the bad guy in this whole thing, then it would be best if I just left.

I hope you are happy.

I haven't reread the thread to say who was who. All the names are unfamiliar to me. It was three guys, is all I remember. But it's done now and time to move on.
