Really though, installing "Classic Shell" makes Windows 8 so much better.
If only because it is the dang start menu.

By now I've grown accustomed to using the Windows 8.1 Start menu for the sole purpose of searching for applications, but this is a neat thing. I miss the good ol' days of a real, Metro-free Start menu.

You know, it's definitely convenient,
especially if you need to open a program that doesn't have a desktop shortcut. Customizable, uses a minimum of resources, plus you can set it up to send you straight to the desktop when the computer is turned on. (Enabled by default I think, but it can be disabled) In all reality, I would highly recommend it for all windows 8 users, for various reasons. |
