Friendly Dictator So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children? wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children Bibby OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words. |

I used to play Pokémon all the time, but I kinda lost interest and haven't bought any since Diamond and Pearl (not counting spinoff titles).
I've been considering buying X or Y, but I haven't as of yet.

I remember when Pokémon first came out, I found it to be an interesting concept but never tried it because I wasn't sure whether it was a real game or a marketing/merchandising bonanza disguised as a video game. It wasn't until the summer of 2008 that I played the original GB and GBC games, and I found them to be surprisingly enjoyable. I haven't played a Pokemon game in almost four years, though, and since I'm unfamiliar with everything that's happened in the fifth generation and onwards, I would love to give the newer games a try sometime.
Also, I used to play Shoddy Battle (and subsequent online battle simulators) about once every six months, not that I was particularly good at it.

dustin, you should probably get either of the x or y games. they're probably the best generation so far. black and white are pretty sick, as well.
bibby, i think the last time i played pokémon in a simulator was when netbattle didn't simulate anything above ruby and sapphire. i think i played a diamond and pearl match using a simulator with one of my friends once, but only once. what generation were you playing on the simulator? --- Edited by: fireball3k, Jan 10th, 2014 @ 4:21 pm

The simulator I played included Black and White Pokémon around the time the games were released in North America. The battle simulator developers are pretty speedy about adding the latest characters and moves. If anyone would like to play it sometime, I'd be happy to give it a go (assuming it's compatible with Windows 8, and I certainly think it would be).
