That means you, Edible Arrangements:

It's not elegant. It's not sophisticated. It's not mysterious. It's bland and hopelessly overused, and you shouldn't use it - especially for the logo of your business - even if you plan on opening a papyrus-printing firm.

Edible Arrangements isn't the only offender. No sirree. While on vacation this weekend, I believe I saw 12-15 instances of this font on the logos of businesses... within a two-mile span. Nothing screams "horrible design" like taking one of the lowest-quality fonts that comes with Windows - and then carving Papyrus-based text into a rock. It was not a pretty picture.

I regret that I am unable to include a photo of the aforementioned rock.
Course clear! You got a card.

I've made a habit of pointing it out to whoever I'm with at the time whenever I see Papyrus.

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

Personally, I never really understood the hate some of these fonts get.

I mean, Comic Sans doesn't look that bad, right?

yeah, i feel you on the comic sans thing. i never understood why everyone hates it so much either. hell, it brings back good memories for me; it was a font that microsoft 3D movie maker made heavy use of, which i used a hell of a lot when i was a kid. it also got used a lot when everyone was using aim, and i specifically remember both dj yoshiman and techokami using that font, long before they changed their online handles to the ones we know them by now.

(if you're curious, dj yoshiman used to not have the "dj" in front of his name, and techokami used the name "knuckles t15" up until about 2004)
