we all know pokémon red and blue are glitchy to an extreme. you have things like missingno. all over the place, but there's a bunch of glitched items in the game, too. there's one called 8F which allows you to make the game jump to certain parts of the game's code if you set it up right. in addition to letting you do things like execute scripts at will, you can also code your own simple homebrew programs with enough work.

here's a video of how to set up the item, as well as how to use it to execute code

here's a video of the item being used to write a quick and dirty breakout program

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

Pretty cool. I've seen a video where a dude TAS coded a MIDI player and an image viewer with Pokémon Yellow and a save glitch at the start of the game. That is one seriously neat thing; hacking Pokémon from within Pokémon.

I love that. I'm still dumbfounded that anyone, even someone's who's an absolute wizard in assembly code, could figure out how to do that.

While it seems very impractical to code anything using this method, I'm still quite amazed and impressed that it's possible.

Pokemon Glitches are my secret pleasure.

On a similar note, have a look at this Gold run. GS are more fun because they're not as well known for their glitches:

Also Werster is my favourite person because he's the very best, like no one ever was... and he's Australian.
